Slow Fox Chili - Vancouver

I enjoyed the music duo of Nathun Dennis , guitar harmonica. They were very good. Very good chili cornbread, plus lots of other choices. Beer, wine mixed drinks too.Vegetarian options: Good selectionsWheelchair accessibility: Yes

Chili was amazing with lots of flavor and a but of spice. The cornbread did seem a little dry for my liking but I will eat here more and try different things on the menu. If you like chili you will love this place.

Such a great place to hang outside and eat yummy comfort food...Chili and Fritos! Awesome outdoor venue with a rockin' band, The Slim Jims. Such a fun evening! Dog friendly, too!

Got the chili mac and hawaiian style chile carlos with two pieces of cornbread. Chili was very thin, stew-like. It was put on top of the mac, which made the mac a flavorless stew of starch, couldn't even taste the cheese. Completely lacked seasoning, all I tasted was a one-note flavor of pork. I sincerely did not even get a kick of chili pepper. In my opinion, what I was given wasn't chili. Chili is thick and packed with flavor.Cornbread was tastless and dry, and each square was maybe 2 x 2 inches. Citrus slaw tasted like nothing but lemon juice. I'm really not trying to be harsh, but very small portions of bland comfort food is not my thing.

I rarely give 5 stars. This place is exceptional. The cornbread is made with ancient grain corn or something and was so hearty. We ordered all the sides (collards, potatoe salad, zucchini) and they were all exceptional. It was fine dining quality food for a fraction of the price- too good to be true. The people that own this place are also kind passionate people from what I could tell. I wasn't feeling Chilli and my boyfriend convinced me and I'm so grateful he did. We live in Portland where there's an abundance of awesome food bit I'll be driving back up here just to come here. They have an outdoor patio too and I had my pup which was a really nice added bonus.Vegetarian options: 5 dtar fresh options
