Contribuiți la feedbackVery intimate spot which offers a good variety of international wines. Staff are really friendly and helpful when trying to figure out what wine is good. They have a delicious selection of cured meats and the truffle butter with bread is delicious! If you’re not feeling up for wine, you can grab a wine cocktail! They’re moving so keep an eye out for their new shire!
2022 NEW LOCATION: Open 2 blocks away from the original site. The new spot has a bigger kitchen, cozy theme rooms, more wall art and real AC for those hot summer days!! [Its an amazing space transformation…it had always been a 1990s carpeted bank office, that is before Niche the Angelos crew worked their magic. 2020: The best place for Champagne in downtown Vancouver! They are the best number champagne bar in SW WA. 101 bottles sold in 2020!!
To the owner of the wine bar: it’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon and my friend and I rode past the wine bar and saw the red sign that said open we park the car we walked in there were two very small children on the patio one was about three and the other one was about eight, we went in to go and sit on the back deck of the wine bar where the three-year-old child continuously tried pulling a $20 bill out of my friends hand, so, when we add zero service, I went to the bar to ask for a wine menu, I was very rudely told “we are closed!” My friend went to ask the person behind the bar why would he let us install ourselves and remove our jackets and find seeds if they were not open for business and then he told her that yelling at him was not going to get her a drink? Certainly nobody was yelling we own a real estate company and or 60 years old. All I have to say is the guy could have told us before we installed ourselves and the place was closed and he did not have to be so rude to us, no wonder there was no one there except for two kids under 10 years old. By the way why would a three or four-year-old child be coming to try pulling money out of your hands? If I could give a -0 review I would.
Hate giving 3 stars but sadly, not what I would call a great experience. Greeting was odd, interacting with 2 servers (possible owners , ordered multiple shared plates (4 of us one being a charcuterie board (being in food management I am all to aware of food costs and a super fan of boards and was pretty shocked at the small portions. Received one we had discussed while ordering but changed mind and ordered another item instead. Our server repeated order to us correctly but we got the item we didn 't order anyway. Common mistake and we said nothing so our bad. Frankly we were glad it came as portions small. We were never asked asked for more wine, and had to ask for more water and bread. We all have off days in food service, I get it but also some basics were missed. They have been around for a good while so perhaps just an off day for them/us.
Came by with a friend, it was my first visit. The wine was excellent and the food was also a reason to return. Very unique decor and varied seating arrangements. I’d love to be a regular customer but despite the friendly service, we had an odd experience. Got there close to 4, and my friend who had arrived first was already seated. I joined her. Halfway through our wine and food , we were asked to give up our seating to accommodate a party of 3. We agreed and were moved to a two top nearby. Then we were informed that the table was reserved for another party at 6. Not wanting to be difficult, we said that would be fine. We did order the gelato and wrapped up our time there. I may return to give it another shot, I sure hope that the musical chairs situation isn’t repeated. Such an odd way to treat customers.
