House Of Beijing - Vancouver

We have not sat down in a Chinese Restaurant in quite a long time. Due to being in the neighborhood this evening we stopped at the House of Beijing . It was on the early dinner side time wise. We seated right away. Placed our orders 5 mins later and likely had the food in ten minutes or so. I was not timing them. Our plates were so full we could never have consumed a full plate. The service was prompt and friendly. The food left over filled the entire to go containers for both my husband and I. There may be enough leftovers one or two more meals for me. I did notice they are consistent Best of Clark County winners, I am not sure how Chinese Restaurants are in the county but it appears others are pleased too. My husband and I ate in Chinatown in NYC, often growing up so we do have tempered expectations on food outside of a known Chinatown. The House of Beijing delivered two good staple entree 's and steamed dumplings. My husband and I were both satisfied and full when we left, with out take away boxes. Sorry, no pics!

Removing 2 stars. We've been coming here for almost 20 years and had the worst service last night. The woman that seated us has worked there for a while, but she's not one of the original employees we've seen since we started coming here. When we walked in, there were only three tables occupied. The three booths by the window were open, but she tried to seat us at the booth next to the wall. I asked her if we could sit in one of the window booths, and she shrugged, handed me the menus, and walked away. I had no idea that was going to cause such a problem, but everything went downhill from there. We sat at our booth for a very long time waiting for her to take our order. Four more parties came in after us, and their orders and food came out before ours. I was extremely irritated. We have always received friendly service here. The manager, who's been there since the beginning, finally brought us our food. My food was lukewarm at best, but my husband's was hot. The manager also refilled our water glasses. The only other time we saw our server was when she brought us our bill. We most likely won't be returning. There are far too many restaurant options in our area to consider before returning to an establishment that treats customers this way.

I have worked next door to this restaurant for 11 years and they are the epitome of consistency. Their food is always good and served in huge portions. The staff here work their butts off. They are no nonsense when it comes to hustling out the food. Dinner time can get crazy busy, especially on weekends and every day between the hours 6-8pm. That's when ull have to wait the longest for your food, so plan accordingly. I usually order mine to go since I can literally just walk next door, but the dining room gets packed during these hours, which really speaks of their popularity. I really have to hand it to them. They run a tight ship and I have never been disappointed.

The food was fantastic! There was so much such great proportions. Tons of rice tons of barbecue pork they served me and my family right on time. Kind waiters who bring you soup and tea right as you sit down they are patient when you are waiting for your meal, ive never had better food if i could i would give it 10 stars!! 100% recommend and i will be returning as soon as possible also the lighting is dim but not depressing dim its a relaxing lighting!

The food tasted good until I took a bite of my crab puff and there was a clump of someone's hair in my mouth. This is actually so disgusting for how much you pay for this place. Will not be ordering again :
