Fort Hammenhiel Resort - Valvedditturai

Great food and much respect for the staff as they tried and helped us in their maximum capacity to help us find fuel for our vehicle, as we just closed out of fuel and the gas stations nearby. Great staff excellent location for lunch and even the fort is very nice. Thank you for the staff for this amazing extra effort to help us. We'll never forget that.

Stored by SL Navy Officers. The experience here really loved. Very quiet and beautiful surroundings. Clean and tidy as you can expect from any military managed company. Delicious food and served hot with beautiful presentation. This is a very beautiful resort that is maintained by the Sri Lankan naval forces. The actual hotel is located on the small island where you need to drive a ferry. This was once a cell to hold prisoners, now turned to a resort. Nicely maintained and good views through outside. Historically important too. Very recommended

Nice place to stay. Security has been very high since SLNavy's control. Rooms are available to stay for one night. You have a hotel with FB. You can also get a prisoner experience here.

Nice place, there is a fortress on the island. You can go there by boat. Fees must be paid for the boat.

Beutiful place to visit, stay and enjoy the meal from there with great hospitality from Navy staff. Therefore, I personally recommend this place is an ideal for enjoying the delicious meals and stay some days at the hotel with premium facilities. Location is so beutiful and it took my breath away, hence, it is an ideal place to spend your leisure time.
