I just ate Le Filown de Montepellier and it was great. I had the honey camembert for a starter and the walnut gorgonzola Filet mignon-- the steak was just a bit over boiled for me, but they were both still excellent. The waiter was charming and helpful. Very recommended if you are in Valparaiso!
Un petit français and un poquito chileno. Garzóns speaks French and everything. Cool.
Menu of the day was sorely disappointing, but confit de canard was spectacular.
After falling to find a nice empanada around the area, we came here to see if they could perk us up. They couldn't. They have a fantastic choice of empanadas, so I went for a Camenbert and bacon one (couldn't find any bacon in it at all but whatever). I actually enjoyed it a LOT less than the first empanada I had, which was such a shame as the restaurant looks great! My girlfriends veggie empanada was OK, but not fantastic. I then decided to get something sweet (their fudge) which was OK but again, a little underwhelming. I believe I may have just chosen the wrong things but still, what's the point of having weak things on the menu.
