Cote Sud - Vallon-Pont-d'Arc

It is a shame to find such a badly run restaurant in France. The food was less than average, the service was slow and inadequate, the man in charge looked under the influence and the prices were way too high. I know there are many tourists there but it is not an excuse!

Dreadful dreadful place! We booked a table for 7 people had to ask for a drinks menu and after 45 minutes they’d not even taken our drinks order. Another large party came in after us and were served before us. On asking if we could order drinks they just shrugged their shoulders. We ended up leaving.

Very accomodating and welcoming. Delicious food and pizza. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. My child and I had a great time there. Being vegan and being in Ardèche doesn't make that much sense as it is extremely hard to find vegan food but at least here they could make the effort to make a good vegan pizza and we really appreciated this. My husband was desperate for a pizza and this restaurant was right across the street from our hotel. But it was the best choice we could have made. They have a menu that costs €20 for an entrée and plat and €24 to include dessert. My husband had his pizza which he really liked. And I took the menu. I had a wonderful little cassoulet of scallops as my entrée and then pork fillet mignon in the wonderful sauce. And then I had their iles flottantes which was the best I've ever had in France. Our waitress was so very welcoming. She gave us a little taste of something to start off our meal. She was very comfortable with our sharing my salad which was part of my meal. We got a little digestive alcohol drink at the end. And she was very interested in spending time with us but not overly so. We loved our meal so much that we came back the second night. Both of us had the menu this time. I had a veal dish and my husband had the faux filet with pepper sauce and blue cheese sauce. They were both excellent. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
