Contribuiți la feedbackNever have I been served by a more rude waitress. She rammed menus in front of our faces as soon as we sat down. Didn’t ask if we were eating or just drinking. No other tables were eating so we just ordered drinks, when she returned she asked what we wanted to eat, we informed her we only wanted drinks, she slammed the drinks down on the table and told us thanks for creating extra work for her because she’ll have to clean the table down after we leave. It’s rather humiliating being reprimanded by a ‘lady’ in a crowded area, we were made to feel most unwelcome. We left immediately, shall not be returning.
We sat on the terrace facing the town-hall having beef tartare and an entrecôte with beer and wine. Price and service absolutely okay. A cute dog begging for food
Away from the main square so cheeper and less busy. The way I like it. Had a lovely Croque mossier (sorry to any French people for my poor spelling) and a bottle of orangina. my idea of the best lunch available in France. Followed up by some lovely coffee. The staff spoke a little English, I spoke a little French, managed to get ordered no issues. They have wifi which was fast. overall a lovely little cafe.
We ate at this restaurant last night Bastille day) the town was very busy and so was this restaurant, the menu was varied and not over priced. The meal arrived promptly and tasted really good I had the beef burger with warm goats cheese and my partner had a pizza, also really good) and the service was faultless. I like the position of this restaurant as it's in a busy area and you can have a drink and people watch in the square. I would definitely eat there again. I have read some of the feedback from others if you want fine dining this is not the place but if you want good quality everyday food it's perfect and at a reasonable cost.
Modest café in a little square, opposite the Hotel de Ville, sitting outside in warm September sunshine with a few other customers not jammed in adjacently (beware: the town will doubtless be rammed full in July/Aug). The Entrecote and Frites (11 euros) was a good size, beautifully 'a point ', tasty, tender and very little waste, plus a generous portion of very nice chips. With a 50cl carafe of v acceptable rose, it came to around 25 euros for two. Recommended!
