Friendly owners and staff. Family run. Nice paintings on the walls. Daughter is an artist. Nice surroundings. Easy to park. Locals eat there also.
Attended St. Vincent for a 25th Anniversary wedding reception while visiting my family in Vallelunga. Authentic Sicilian restaurant and feel to it.
Last Sunday night I popped into this place with friends of mine while traveling in the beautiful but unknown to us region of Caltanisetta. It was by pure chance and by the motivation to find something to eat when we ended up taking a table at Saint Vincent. A thought of a long travel ahead of us played a role too. The restaurant ambiance and its decor reflected an ordinary, rural Sicilian place where time stopped way 30 years ago. My past experience taught me not to be influenced by any restaurant interiors or location but to focus on the food instead. Among the variety of simple Sicilian dishes listed as a long litany in the menu, my order consisted of ;; Bruschetta al pomodoro as the starter, Beef steak in Palermitan style, Buttered saute spinach, Roasted potatoes and a bottle of mineral water. All of this for just hefty 15 Euros. The waiter was very helpful, cordial and professional. Service was good but by all means the food was just a delicious edition of my grandma`s home made meal. I am not making this statement based only on how hungry I was but rather on the honest and objective judgement. Delicious, melting in your mouth ricotta mini cannoli desert offered by the restaurant`s owner was an unexpected and a pleasant surprise to us. Come and have your dinner here at this rare find somewhere totally off the beaten path to then quickly realize that you were fully unaware of making the first step in creating your life patronage there. From now on I know where I am going to eat next time when travelling from Catania to Agrigento.
Yesterday we drove into this town asked a passerby 'where can we eat? ' They suggested Saint Vincent and we were not disappointed! We were greeted by the owner and the team of staff were very helpful advising us with the extensive, varied menu. The food was all freshly prepared and of very good standard at a fair price. We were actually unsure of how to get to the main road back to our destination and the owner offered to drive his car so we could follow him to the main road. I have never experienced this such kind behaviour before and I have travelled all over the world ! Thank You so much Saint Vincent for a superb meal and hospitality like we have never experienced before!!
