Mestiza - Valencia

Cute place, eclectic decor, quiet and friendly ambiente. I love it's all vegan, but we were disappointed with our food. the pakoras were muddy and a little bitter, their sauce was very dirty. the moussaka was also bland, too smooth, and ridiculously hot temperaturewise. the pad thai looked promising, but was so anointed that it was almost inviolable, and I was also not thrilled to find sellerie in it. my friend has the tacos and he took a bite and said he would probably not eat more than one. Maybe it was just a night, but it seems more than the recipes need some big tweaking. unfortunately it is not worth going out of our way.

Beautiful decor, delicious food for the greatest part and the personal spoke enough English and Spanish for all to communicate. wonderful additions to the selection! we come back!

Beautiful restaurant in this trendy location of valencia, right at the sea. there were six of us and we tried a few tapas. that had been made of patatas bravas and thai meatballs that we ordered, so we had to replace them for ceviche and pakoras, which proved to be the less interesting. the rest of our order was however excellent: mini burger, jack obst tacos al pastor, beetroot wetar, gyozas, curry and not forget that dessert. everything really delicious. they also have a pretty good selection of affordable weeps. the bill was the last contract: 20€ per person, which is absolutely cheap when considering that we order two bottles of wine. totally recommended.

We went for lunch after spending some time at the beach, as it is only a 10 minute walk. The restaurant itself had a cozy atmosphere, there is also outdoor seating on the sidewalk of the small and relatively quiet street it is located on. It was not too busy at lunch time on a Sunday, which was really refreshing. The staff was very friendly and the menus are offered in English and Spanish. The food was tasty and the selection covered a wide range of dishes from different cuisines. We would have liked to see more vegan versions of typical local dishes as well.
