Baltasar - Valencia

We were disappointed about this place. The service was awful. Food was ok. We felt not welcoming. The wine was ok.

We visited Valencia for a week and visited Baltasar 4 times! The food is just amazing! Steak for 20 euros? Yes, please! Delicious paella? Of course! Aaaand, the best Agua De Valencia! The service is excellent! My son asked to add, that pizza was even more than just delicious! Everything we tried was PERFECTO! Thank you for everything!

Wouldn’t come back. I saw a nice interior but that was the only positive thing I can mention. The waiter could not speak english and did not even try his best. For a big city like Valencia: no go. We sat there for one hour and 45 minutes and in this time the waiter spend 45 minutes on his mobile phone to send voice messages with whatsapp and the other 45 minutes he chatted on the street with a friend. They didnt asked us if we would like another drink, also didn’t asked if the food was good. The sirloin steak was tough and tasteless. The burger was ok altough the meat was very red and the waiter didn’t asked how we would like it because: no english. Another couple in the restaurant had ordered fish and also wasn’t to happy about it. I normally don't mind tipping but I really didn’t think it was appropiate here.

Went in here on a whim .. what a find ! We had the 19 euro set lunch and every course there were four or five choices were excellent.. it also included a beverage beer or wine and bread . Starters were a selection of four tapas we were a party of four followed with various rice dishes .. all fresh and tasty. Deserts were equally delicious, staff throughout were superb and attentive when necessary. Centrally located .. this place was a find for us .. Comes highly recommended.. Enjoy!

I wanted to write a good review of this place, reviews were positive and the vibe looked good. Made a reservation and had it confirmed only to show up and it wasn’t in the system. Sat at a table in an alcove away from everyone else to be told multiple items on the menu weren’t available and then not visited again for 20+ minutes. Never found out when a server would come see us because after 20 minutes we left before they could. Again, wanted this place to be good and it flopped.
