Millets Farm - Vale of White Horse

We arrived at the restaurant just after 3pm and were told that they were no longer serving hot food. We were directed to an outside food hut (which I believe was part of the same business) to order hot food, then return to the restaurant for plates and drinks. At the food hut, we were told they only had vegan hot pasties and sausage rolls. We ordered 2 pasties and a sausage roll. After a long wait, we finally received our food, only to be asked about our drink order which we hadn't placed. We returned to the main restaurant to order drinks, but had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them. By the time we received our drinks, our food had gone cold. The service was disorganized and slow, and I was disappointed in my first experience at this place. I won't be returning.

I went to brunch with my friend and our kids. We were waiting in line when my friend placed their order first. They were able to order for themselves and their child, but when it was my turn, my two children were told they couldn't order food. It was almost 11 am, when they stop serving breakfast, but the difference in time on the receipts was just 2 minutes (11:01 and 11:03). This was really disappointing for my kids. The coffee and drinks were good and the staff at the till were polite and apologetic. It was clear that they were just following orders from the kitchen.

I was disappointed with the meals at this restaurant. The children's meals, fish fingers and chicken bites, were covered in salt and pepper, making the chips inedible. The child's salad was drowned in dressing, making it unappetizing for the little one. The adult sausage and mash was oily, and the chicken burger was overcooked on the outside but suspiciously pink inside. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Best breakfast Fabulous hearty breakfast. Had Full Farmhouse but it beat me so if you have a smaller appetite I would recommend the Country Cottage Breakfast instead for a very reasonable £7.75. There’s a lovely ‘quiet room’ you can sit in if you want a bit of p&q. Really friendly staff too.

Had afternoon tea and was totally delighted. The food was plentiful and lovely. Sandwiches, scones, cakes, sausage rolls and lots of tea and coffee. Catered for gluten free vegetarian. Staff were fantastic friendly and making lots of effort. Highly recommend
