Lains Barn - Vale of White Horse

Lains Barn is the perfect venue for a wedding! We recently celebrated our daughter's wedding there and were extremely impressed with the stunning backdrop, as well as the exceptional level of service and care. Our experience was greatly enhanced by the attentive staff, allowing us to relax and truly enjoy the day. The barn itself is gorgeous, with converted byre buildings on two sides - one of which houses the bar (where prices are reasonable). Surrounded by a central lawn, Lains Barn is able to accommodate various weather conditions, making it an ideal choice for a wedding venue. The magical setting made for a truly unforgettable day, and I cannot recommend it enough.

My daughter had her wedding at this restaurant in August 2021. It was the third attempt as the previous two had to be cancelled due to Covid. Rachel was extremely helpful with all the plans and re-arranging. The venue was perfect for a summer wedding, with plenty of outdoor seating for socializing. There was ample space for children to play. The food was excellent for both meat eaters and vegetarians, and beautifully presented. The pizzas in the evening were fresh and delicious, perfect for refueling after dancing. The band played a variety of music styles and the staff were efficient and discreet. After 18 months of Covid restrictions, it was a joy to celebrate this special occasion in such a lovely setting.

We had our wedding here recently during covid times and EVERYONE went above and beyond to help us achieve as close to our originally planned wedding as possible (if not better! . Martin has been incredible since we met him when we came to see the venue last year and straight away we had the feeling that this would be the right venue for us, we were correct with our gut feeling : Rachel was brilliant throughout, answering all of our questions pretty much within minutes! Throughout this testing time we were not sure if we would even be able to have our wedding however we all carried on planning our dream wedding and were so lucky to be able to have our wedding this year. The catering team and the staff who looked after us on the day were all incredible too following all covid regulations however still allowing us to have a perfect wedding. Could not recommend enough. My granddaughters wedding here was perfect from start to finish. Couldn't fault it at all. We had vegetarian menu which was lovely, lawn games and pizzas were great entertainment.

Amazing day from the moment we arrived. Easy to park. Great setting venue. Professional staff. Wonderful food and a seamless transgression from ceremony to dining to disco. Thank you to everybody at Lains Barn who made this such a perfect day.
