King Alfred's Cafe

Mom was eating today. have been meaning to go since the new people have taken over, but never come to it, but wow! eating is fantastic, good menu, not too expensive and their Asian cuisine is not too expensive. we went for one of the Asian specialties, excellent, that said a few other tables had the different breakfasts and they also made my mouthwater. regarding the service, it is one of the few places where the customer is treated as a customer and nothing was too much annoyed. this will now be a regular one for us and it is worth visiting.

This cafe is a fantastic stop for cyclists heading towards Wantage. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they serve delicious coffee and cooked breakfasts. Don't forget to try their carrot cake too!

Beautifully presented breakfast for £5.45. Two eggs, two large sausages, fried mushrooms and baked beans. The serving lady is a little brusque but...
