Ernesto's Authentic Mexican Food

We traveled from Gakona to visit the Worthington Glacier, and after our hike and exploring the area, we found ourselves quite hungry. We soon discovered that Valdez is a reasonably sized town with plenty of dining options.

The restaurant is now named Ernesto's Latin Cuisine, and I wouldn't recommend going there. I inquired with the waitress if they offered margaritas, and she confirmed that they did. However, I was disappointed to see her pour a Mike's hard lemonade instead.

Hooray for Ernesto's in Valdez! I was initially a bit hesitant due to the low reviews for Ernesto's in Anchorage, but this location exceeded my expectations with some solid Texas-style cuisine.

Great atmosphere! the waitress and the cook had pleasant personalities! the chef came out and made a suggestion on a special dish and it was the best choice I would have made! this business will continue to thrive!

The pricing is quite inconspicuous, especially for a city like this, and to make matters worse, they added extra charges for things we never requested. For instance, one of us ordered a regular shrimp dish, and they charged an additional $7 for using large shrimp, which we hadn't asked for. Furthermore, some items on their menu are incorrect. I would not recommend this place.
