Mikes - Val-d'Or

We went there because it was only a few steps away from the hotel. eating was great. although there was not enough pasta on the teller of my neck. he would have eaten another one. service was excellent. all in all I would go back

Eating was okay if you need anything in an prise. dessert was better. if they do not speak French, they do not expect a fast service. we will not return.

We visited this restaurant in the evening of the working day. most restaurants in the city were closed and we were comprehensible to visit this restaurant because we thought it would be crowded with icy service. but for our great surprise we had a wonderful one. experience with exquisite dining and service. our waiter gave us so much attention that my 3 Y.o had spoken directly to the waiter. we recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits val d’or, especially those with small children.

Mikes advertise the closing time of 10 o'clock on Sunday, for dinein and pizza deliveries. we arrived at 8 o'clock on Sunday night and our order was taken immediately. we asked the waiting staff if they had perriers and ordered two bottles when they said they had. Maybe Perrier is used there as a generalized grasp for foam water, but she delivered another drink and went away before we could tell her that it wasn't what we had ordered. our food arrived 30 minutes after the order. both chicken dishes were very delicious, but while you were warm, the other was almost cold. the waiting staff didn't come back, so we went to the kitchen to find them. I wanted coffee with whisper. she told us that the coffee machine had been cleaned and shut down half an hour before and that it was too much work to restart it for a coffee. Apparently, when custom slow at every night, they begin to clean early and close the restaurant, regardless of their advertised opening times. then she went back without clearing our courts or asking for our wrecking order. the restaurant was closed shortly before 9 o'clock, an hour earlier than advertised. when we went, the waiting staff became very aggressive about the size of their tip. she was insulting and followed us to the door by insisting that she had demanded a good service and more. I found that the experience unpleasant and intimidating, and not what one would expect in a restaurant. that said there was nothing wrong with the quality of eating, it is presentation, or the general cleanliness and atmosphere of the restaurant. the prices were reasonable. I would go again, only not to the bakes in val d’or.

Food was "ok" if you need something in a pinch. Dessert was better. If you don't speak French, don't expect speedy service. We wont return.
