Bistro Fourteen - Vail

I had lunch here two days in a row and really enjoyed it. The service was outstanding, and the food was excellent.

I've been skiing in Vail for a while now, and if you're not into skiing, you should definitely take the gondola up to enjoy a meal at this restaurant. The views are absolutely stunning. While I get that everything tends to be pricier on the mountain due to transportation costs, the prices here are on the higher side even by mountain standards. However, the fantastic service and delicious food, combined with the breathtaking views, make it a place you can't afford to miss.

I had a great experience dining on the mountain during a long day of skiing and enjoying Adventure Ridge. The food was just average, though. I would definitely recommend avoiding the chili—it was quite bland and had a consistency more like broth-based soup than any chili I've ever tasted. However, the small desserts were delightful and perfectly sized.

We were pleasantly surprised to find such a fine restaurant on top of a mountain. We anticipated it to be more of a novelty than a well-kept fine dining secret! The Rocky Mountain trout was outstanding and prepared exquisitely. Service was impeccable. Highly recommended.

Food, desserts and service were very good. Fun ride up in the gondola at night.
