La Fornace De' Medici - VAGLIA

We enjoyed a two night stay at the hotel accompanied by excellent food in this beautiful restaurant. The wine tasting was a great accompaniment to the meal. Authentic Italian food made with locally sourced ingredients at a very high standard. We would definitely visit again!!

Excellent under every aspects such as cleanliness, service food quality.breathtaking view of the Tuscany hills. Small, full equipped hotel and pool. Superb food and wine. The place it is a bot expansive but worth the try. 5 stars.

This is a beautiful setting the menu is unique and a bit hard to navigate in part because the waiter did not even asked us if we had questions and his mood was at best lukewarm. The gnuti with pomodoro was good however barely warm and after a long rainy day I was not about to complain. The duck was not as tender as it could and the fat not trimmed properly as just to leave the right amount to cook it, however the flavors were right on point. A very carefully selected choices of wines and a spotlessly clean establishment with ample parking. I believe that the kitchen and the dining room may have been slightly understaffed, however, this is a common problem with many businesses around.

The setting was perfect overlooking the rolling hills of Mugello and escaping the heat of Florence. The food was exceptional with a great wine list. The staff were lovely. Looking forward to returning.
