Pure Grain Café - Vacaville

I visited this restaurant for the first time with my grandfather, and we absolutely loved it! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the pastries and coffee were delicious. We will definitely be coming back!

After we placed our order and while I was waiting for my coffee, he repeatedly inquired about what I had ordered, despite it being written on my cup. He asked me at least three times what I had ordered while my drink was being prepared, which was the only one in progress at that moment. Once it was done, we continued to wait for our pastries, and once again he asked if we needed anything else. This was less than five minutes after we had placed our pastry order, and we were still the only customers there. When he finally handed us our bag, we noticed we were short one pastry. I'm not sure if he was new or just distracted, but I won't be returning to Pure Grain for a while. While the food was decent, the poor service left a bad impression. I'll be thinking about this experience for some time.

The cakes, pastries, and sandwiches here are outstanding. The staff is really friendly too. There's ample parking and plenty of seating available. This place is a must-visit in Vacaville!

Tried brunch for the first time. Everything was great. By 1145am they had sold out of Chicken Fried Steak flour tortillas for burritos. We got Breakfast Sandwich on cheddar jalepeno bagel. Soft bagel, would order again (and again? . Veggie omelet, soft center with house potatoes. House potatoes were delicious. Bear claw was large tasty. Cinnamon roll ???? I enjoyed the baked goods being soft and not dry at all. It happens sometimes. We will include Pure Grain in our brunch rotation list. Thank you!

Besides the good food options like fresh bakery breads, sandwiches and other creative dishes, they have pastries, cakes and excellent coffee (with milk alernatives), and Italian sodas they'll make whatever way you like. They offer enjoyable outdoor seating and a hometown feeling at their great downtown location near a nice library and CreekWalk Plaza/Andrews Park.
