Elements At Starved Rock Lodge - Utica

The pool area, complete with a whirlpool, slides, and a lazy river, provided endless entertainment for my kids, who had an absolute blast. I did notice that the children's playground in the center was not fully operational, but it still looked fun. The arcade room was clean, enjoyable, and reasonably priced, featuring a wide array of great games! My children had a great time using the exercise equipment alongside their dad, which was in excellent condition and offered a good variety. As for the breakfast buffet, I found it to be quite pricey—$10 for kids and $12 for adults—especially when compared to complimentary breakfasts at other hotels. Overall, this was a delightful stay, and we all had a fantastic time!

This place was fantastic! I traveled with my 7-year-old and 1-year-old, and we all had an amazing time! The venue was clean, and the food was delicious. If you have someone who needs gluten-free options, they have some really tasty choices! The staff was also very accommodating, making this a wonderful spot for families with young children. It might not be as ideal for older teenagers, but we had a blast and so much fun! We're definitely planning to return in the summer. Because we had a little one with us, we were offered a special deal (we paid a little extra, but it was definitely worth it). We got to enjoy the pool early and had a later check-out as well!

My family and I had a wonderful time during our stay. The indoor pool was fantastic, and the journey to the charming little town was quick and enjoyable. The villa we stayed in was nice, although it could have been cleaner. The mattress on the sofa bed was worn and had some holes, but overall, it was a decent place for a family getaway. There are a few attractions in the area, but the downside is that everything closes quite early. Despite this, it was a beautiful experience overall.

We took our 3 years old and 8 years old and they had an explosion! Probably not so funny for older children. She was perfect for children 10 and I think it was. I like the fact that you can bring your meals to the large dining area near check-in, as there is not enough room to eat in our room. Great location next to starved rocks and the cute little downtown was beautiful.

They have done a great job with the renovations at Grand Bear. It is truly night and day compared to what it used to be. Villas were freshly renovated and very clean. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Arcade was very clean and also renovated as well. You can definitely tell that a lot of time and money went into renovating the grounds. Would definitely recommend to anyone considering staying there in the future.
