Tunupa Valle Sagrado - Urubamba

Lunch buffet is the only way to taste various Peruvian dishes in small portions. Amazing old hacienda style building and farm on the Urubamba river. Our waiter Jorge was very friendly and helpful. Also for groups.

I heard great things about this restaurant before, so I was very excited to stop for lunch on my current visit to Cusco. It was unexpected to find that what was sold as a “buffet reservation” was actually served an already set menu to the...Table. This, due to the new Covid-19 protocol restrictions (of course), but why not mention it at the moment of booking? Unfortunately, where articles on the menu people in my group could not try because of certain allergies, others because they had ingredients that only never eat, in any case where problems could easily be avoided. In addition, I was there with people who were there before and the food was not good. Some dishes lack taste, some had much too much spices on them, they gave us a pasta on cheese sauce that was beyond the cold, etc. I mean, I'm not leaving a bad comments, I usually not, but this lunch experience was by far one of the worse I had. I really hope they will improve things in the future.

A large establishment set in extensive grounds running down to the river. A splendid old building which has been adapted to cater for coachloads of tourists. This was a lunch stop off on our Sacred Valley tour. Food is a large self service buffet with...plenty of hot and cold choices. If you don't expect top quality cuisine you will not be disappointed the food is OK and there is probably something for most tastes.

Go to this restaurant just for it’s landscape and beautiful setting! It offers a full buffet with alpaca stew, chicken curry, chicken and vegetables, and pork dishes. Wide variety of fresh vegetables and salad greens and delicious desserts. Be sure to try the purple corn...non-alcoholic drink. It’s refreshing and delicious.

Nice Peruvian buffet. Great views from the terrace, lovely garden with an Alpaca and a Llama you can take pictures with. Food was good and not expensive. Lots of turists visit this restaurant.
