Crab - Uppuveli

We had a delightful dinner at this restaurant with attentive and friendly staff who truly care about their guests' experience. Despite being the only diners, we were well taken care of. It is likely due to the off-season that we had the place to ourselves.

This restaurant is satisfactory, but there are numerous other good restaurants in Uppuveli that offer a similar amount of meat-free options. To claim that this restaurant is particularly vegetarian-friendly would be misleading. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and they offer a variety of Sri Lankan and Western dishes. Just keep in mind that there are many other great dining options nearby as well.

Food was great. Came here because my friend wanted the crab curry. He was not disappointed. He said that it was one of the spiciest dishes he had ever had in his life. I had some vegetarian curry which was delicious. The owner was so nice and attentive. We stopped by on the way out of town for some Rotti in the morning. They were closed but opened just for us. The rotti was excellent and sent us on our way happily. Thank you!

The vegan buffet at lunchtime was pleasant, but at 400 rupees, I wouldn't make an effort to have it again. It included three dishes, rice, and poppadoms. The daal was evidently made with vegetable stock. It was not worth the price.

I had a vegetarian curry that was delicious. the owner was so nice and attentive. we thought in the morning on the way out of town for rotti. they were closed, but only opened for us. the redti was excellent and sent us happy on our way.
