Comet Coffee - United States

My husband and I were in town from Memphis and toddler-free so we've made a point to try some nicer coffee places. Comet Coffee was by far my favorite. The coffee and baked goods were of course fabulous, but I was far more impressed with the service. The staff had easy hospitality and was utterly unpretentious and gracious. I thoroughly enjoyed my black coffee, but didn't feel like it was I was committing the cardinal sin by asking for cream. I got real heavy cream, too, which I appreciated. The decor was neither kitschy nor sterile, and the lack of background music/auditory wallpaper made me feel calm and uncluttered. This place is a special treat that I would highly recommend to anyone.

This is my favorite coffee shop in StL. Also the best croissants in MO, possibly the US.

Always the best caramel latte at the perfect drinking temperature right away. Not sure how they do it! Keep up the fantastic work for the best experience.

Delicious food and drink, and the staff were above and beyond friendly and helpful. Also, their two bathrooms are both gender-neutral! (Private bathrooms, not stalls, so I don't know why anyone would genderize them, but so many places do!
