We had local beer,tasty halibut and chips with diner ambiance. The restaurant is bright, clean and nostalgic. Our server was attentive, friendly and delightful. Be sure to read the history printed in the menu, and look at the pictures on the wall, a history lesson about the iconic Bamboo Room and the legendary owners. Enjoy!

We had the fish and chips and it was the best halibut i have ever had. It was cooked to perfection as it was so meaty and moist.

This is a decent place to get a bite for lunch. Don't be in a hurry, service is friendly but slow. The burgers are good. The halibut salad had seen better days (like two days before). This place is a dive. Good enough for Haines but don't get your hopes up.

This looked like a cheerful place to have a late lunch on our one day visit to Haines. We ordered a beer and a glass of Chardonnay and one order of halibut and fries to share. We expected nice fresh fish in this town on the coast of Alaska. The drinks were fine, but the food was disappointing. balls of deep fried mushy fish. More batter than fish. It could have been any kind of white frozen fish, definitely nothing resembling the fresh halibut we have had in other coastal towns. The fries were just frozen fries, nothing great. I do not recommend this place.
