El Fenix Bakery - Union City

This bakery has a charming and cozy atmosphere, though seating is limited. The young lady who served us was friendly and worked diligently to fulfill our order. They offer a variety of traditional pastries, including bread pudding, flan, and rice pudding, all excellently made. The pan con mantequilla (bread with butter) goes wonderfully with the café con leche. Since it's a popular spot, finding parking directly in front can be challenging, so be prepared to park on the nearby side streets. However, if you're on foot, it's definitely worth a visit!

This place offers the best Cuban sandwich, along with a variety of delicious pastries, all at unbeatable prices! I highly recommend visiting in the morning when you decide to stop by.

This is one of the few remaining Cuban bakeries in the city, and they prepare fresh Cuban bread daily. They offer hearty breakfast egg sandwiches, pastelillos, and croquetas. One of my favorites is the Media Noche, which is made like a Cuban sandwich but with slightly sweet bread. I highly recommend it; they also serve the best Cuban espresso!
