Osteria Il Duomo - Ulm

This is a nice italian restaurant where I had a great lunch with my girlfriend during a one-day visit to Ulm. The owners were very gentle, the service was fast and impeccable and the food we got was wonderful. The prices are cheap. The restaurant...is a bit hidden behind a corner but this makes it also very quite. There are a limited number of seats both inside and outside. I would come back there again. To be recommended.

Osteria II Duomo is a tiny restaurant tucked into a side street just off the square in Ulm. The staff consisted two: the Waiter/Maitre d', from Sardinia, and the chef. While we waited for our food, they chatted in Italian over the sounds of cooking...and popular Italian music, which the Waiter sang along with when walking from our table to the kitchen. I had gnocchi in a paprika-flavored ricotta sauce. The gnocchi was light as air, with just the right amount of sauce, and was easily some of the best I've ever tasted. My husband's spaghetti carbonara was full of smokey bacon flavor and fresh mushrooms. Talk about Italian comfort food! So we enjoyed antipasto appetizers, two glasses of wine and two dishes for about 33,00 Euros Just as we were leaving, a group of 8-10 people came in, and the staff quickly rearranged tables, as warmly welcoming to them as they had been with us. Wish we'd been able to try dessert, but my imagination says it would've been great!

I come from Britain to ulm, only once a year, and I always make sure that I don't miss this place! they were often in italia and find this little osteria more italian than anything in italia. great atmosphere, honest and tasty eating and a perfect publikum. I usually join people each time. Make sure you have a reservation even if they call the same day, it's still safer than just popping up.

I visited a month before with my friends and I liked her. After pizzeria tasting we chose a special likuor with our group, it was really good.

Simple but well-made Italian food. they leave the clientele back. extra star for no smoker as we gedint.
