Contribuiți la feedbackWe arrived in Ucluelet on a rainy Wednesday in August. After checking Happy Cow, we found that the vegan options were very limited. We decided to try Frankie's and asked if they had anything vegan. They told us they had Beyond Meat sausages, which came with salad and vegan poutine. I opted for the sausage and poutine (without Daiya cheese), while other vegan options included salad and fries. Despite the limited choices in Ucluelet, this meal was a hidden gem and the best food I had on the island all week. The beer was also excellent.
We arrived in Ucluelet on a rainy Wednesday in August and checked Happy Cow for vegan options, but found them to be limited. Luckily, we stumbled upon Frankie's and asked if they had anything vegan. We were pleased to hear they offered Beyond Meat sausages with salad and vegan poutine. I opted for fries and gravy instead (not a fan of Daiya cheese). Other vegan choices included a salad and fries. While the options may not have been extensive, the food was surprisingly delicious considering Ucluelet's limited offerings. This hidden gem was the highlight of my dining experience in the area, and the beer was great too!
We chose not to dine at this restaurant due to the rude staff and high prices. When we called to inquire about vegan options, the person on the phone abruptly ended the call. Upon arrival, we witnessed unprofessional behavior from one of the servers. Our server seemed disinterested and did not provide helpful information about vegan dishes. The prices for vegan options were surprisingly high, with a vegan poutine costing the same as a meat poutine. Overall, based on our experience, we cannot recommend this restaurant.
We arrived in Ucluelet on a rainy Wednesday in August and found that the vegan options were very limited. We decided to try Frankie's and asked if they had any vegan options available. They offered us the "afterlife meat sausages" which came with salad and vegan poutine. I opted for the Fritten and Gravy instead, as I am not a fan of Daiya cheese. Other vegan options on the menu included salads and fries. Despite the limited choices, the meal at Frankie's turned out to be a pleasant surprise and was the best food I had on the island all week. The beer was also quite good!
The staff was unfriendly and the prices were extremely high. Only one of the two vegan options was available, which was pasta with vegetables and cheese. The pasta was average, but there was too much sauce for the small portion of noodles. I would not return to this restaurant.
