Man let me tell ya, these folks know how to stimulate your taste buds n it 's a shame, hopefully temporary, cause no where around here will you be able to find, another restaurant any where close on the same level as Velma Jeans for real. Like where you going to get food prepared with the same amount care and creativity. If you think I 'm joshing you, if you can find a way to eat one of their biscuits, you will then know what I know, we letting V. J. 's get away from us and it 's going to leave a void for those that have explored their menu extently especially. More to miss I guess. But all is not lost we can still get V. J. 's to cater our Partys, Wedding 's, Throw Downs and Throw Ups, D. J. 's on Deck with the Wheels of Steel Spinning Wax Allnightlong ya heard.... I would love to see V. J. 's open the daily restaurant back up. I got to try to figure out what they do to them biscuits to make them taste so freaking good n don 't worry about needing any jelly. You won 't need any I promise. Peace Out!

It was definitely well worth the drive. The food was delicious and you will definitely get full. The people are amazing and friendly. I got the chicken and waffles (of course) and James got the Red beans and rice with fried chicken and corn bread. And couldn't get out the door without a piece of the best cream cheese pound cake I have ever eaten.Will definitely be going back and highly recommend trying it out if you haven't already.

My family tried this place for the very first time today. I must say I spoke to the owner herself. Very very kind hospitable. Fried Chicken Waffles period….. it will not disappoint. Delicious buffalo wings!! Our food was a To Go order and the food was GreaT!I have a love for food cooking! Give this southern place a try, you will be glad you did!

Had lunch here on our way to McComb yesterday it was FABULOUS! Try the fried squash and the cream cheese pound cake ? you will not be disappointed! The staff is as good as the food!
