River - Tuscaloosa

The quality of the food has declined while prices have gone up. There are now better overall options available in Tuscaloosa.

My second visit to the river was just as enjoyable as the first. We dined outdoors, enjoying a beautiful view of the water. One member of our group ordered the shrimp and grits, which she described as excellent. I had the chicken accompanied by sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and it was fantastic; everything was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned. Our server was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more pleasant. Two of us ordered cocktails, and although I can't recall which ones, I remember that mine was delicious! The menu offered many other tempting options, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to the river.

The prices were too high for what was offered. Additionally, the seating arrangement was not ideal. A large group was split between two tables, while a smaller group was seated right next to them. I was quite disappointed with the experience.

Eating is always delicious and the staff is always polite and efficient. Waiting times can be long, so be ready!
