Another Broken Egg Cafe - Tuscaloosa

My husband and I took our granddaughter there for brunch to celebrate her 4th birthday because she wanted to sit outside and look at the river. We waited a few extra minutes for an outside table but it was worth the wait! The service was not fast and not slow ... I like to take my time when I'm eating out. I don't like feeling like I'm being rushed out! My only complaint was my granddaughter ordered the kids waffle and chicken. After about 20 minutes of waiting for the food, our server came to tell us that the chicken would be another twenty minutes but she would bring the rest of the food out and when the chicken was ready , she would bring it to her. When we all received our orders, my granddaughter had bacon on her plate. Which was fine, she loves bacon but we never did get the chicken. And no other explanation about the missing chicken was offered! Haha! Overall a great experience! The food was wonderful and so was the service. Everyone was wishing her a happy birthday so that is what made me very happy! This was probably my 5th time to eat at ABE. I love it.

Me and my wife frequent here because of the great food and river view. We usually always luck up and have Jenna as our waitress, she’s the best! Highly recommend.

We had breakfast there this morning and it was fantastic! Our waitress, Asia W., was exceptionally friendly and personable. The food was delicious too! I love this place because you can enjoy time with your family and friends while taking in the beautiful view of the river!

This is the best breakfast I've ever had! The food is absolutely incredible, and the house-made sausage is fantastic. I highly recommend Another Broken Egg Cafe.

The dish also includes a choice of eggs and a meat option (bacon, sausage, maple apple chicken sausage, or ham), but I opted to swap those out for breakfast potatoes instead. My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy, which came with breakfast potatoes, sausage patties, and eggs, though he replaced the eggs with an extra side of potatoes. The biscuit was fluffy and the sausage tasted good, but the gravy had a strange texture and flavor. It was thick and almost pasty, with a strong meat taste. I wouldn't recommend that dish. Despite being disappointed with one meal, and the potatoes being a bit dry, there are plenty of other enticing options on the menu. The service was good—we didn't wait long to be seated, although I've heard weekends can get quite busy. The waitstaff were friendly, and we left feeling very satisfied! The portion sizes are generous, too. They offer a good variety of spiked coffees and drinks, but I wish they had more specialty non-alcoholic options. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely return to try more items from the menu or indulge in another one of those cinnamon roll French toasts! They also have seasonal specialties that change frequently for added variety.
