Contribuiți la feedbackI had a three piece chicken strip with macaroni and despite all the negative comments I’ve seen about the dryness issue.. My chicken was great, moist and flakey. The macaroni was homemade and creamy. The place just had their grand opening so there was an excessive amount of staff for maybe 5 families dining in. It seemed as if they were just all over the place looking for something to do. Service was okay, I could definitely tell the server was new. But overall my family enjoyed our dinner after hiking around the Grand Canyon.
Service was good if slow. Ty, our waiter, was honest with us about the food and seemed like the only employee who had ever tasted a real biscuit and had a real Southern dining experience. He was friendly and courteous. Food was a bitter disappointment. The chicken was solidly average, but everything that accompanied it was barely edible. The corn (the best side to get) was badly overcooked to the point of being brown. The biscuits were dense, dry, flavorless, and chalky. The mac and cheese (which they told us was much better now with an updated recipe) tasted like buttery horseradish pasta. The mashed potatoes were fine but quite unevenly cooked, and the gravy was good. This place is not cheap, but the ratings (4.2 as of late March 2019) are deceptive — I highly recommend you visit the Plaza Bonita Mexican restaurant across the street as my family did the night after visiting the Chicken Kitchen — this restaurant does not deserve your money, and I hope they turn their act around quickly. Otherwise, they won’t last through the summer.
Feels like the place is masquerading as an actual real restaurant with real food. The menu is very small, which isn't a problem if the food is great, but the chicken strips I got were not much better than frozen stuff you'd make at home. The fries were nothing special and even the water had a bad taste. I'm not sure about the fountain drinks since I didn't get one seeing how they didn't have an on the menu. The prices are to be expected for this place since it's one of the few places to eat for miles around. The price is fine but the food could be greatly improved.
The place is as trashy as it can get. The good reviews are lies probably posted by staff themselves. Here 's an actual review: The food was exorbitantly expensive and tasted grose. There was no thought put into it at all. The burger and half chicken we ordered weren 't made fresh. They tasted of preservatives and frozen food. They were probably just thawed, heated and served. The food taste was bland and abominable and I felt sick after eating it. The chef or whoever prepared our order literally have no idea what food is supposed to taste like. I 'll highly recommend eating at one of the lodges in canyon than pay for this abomination.
I brought our family for dinner. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly. I loved the spices on the chicken. Very tasty with just a hint of hot. The corn was over done but The potatoes and gravy were great! We loved our meal!
