Dal 1929 La Piola - Turin

Lovely place with a story. The owner of the place was really friendly and served us himself, told a story how the restaurant changed since 1929 when it first opened. He had a hand written menu in English see pictures. If you go there you should ask about the history of the restaurant yourself! The food was very local, great meat, great pasta, amazing Tiramisu! The prices are about 12 eur for a meal, so very reasonable. I really recommend to visit the place even if it takes 10min ride to get there from the center :

I have been to this restaurant three times now over the past 12 months on each occasion I have been a guest of a client, so I have never actually seen a menu or a bill. Smallish restaurant with a rustic style and a relaxed informal atmosphere. Lots of small plates of various flavours, reminded me of getting tapas in Spain, I was told the style is typical of the Piedmontese region.

Nice place, rustic and cozy. Traditional menu rich and with some special proposals in addition. All the dishes I tasted were very good. friendly and friendly owner.
