My friend has just moved to a house round the corner from this pub and I am sorely tempted to follow suit. It is an almost comedically perfect English pub. It could have been built by Disney except then it would be new and not steeped in age. Absolutely everything you want from a proper pub and great pies for lunch. I may skip buying a house and just move in.

Relaxed, cosy atmosphere and the steak and ale pie was genuinely one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Good value and even the background music (mostly 70s disco) was great. Many thanks.

Just eaten here, my god what an absolute gem! The food was emense, would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for something a little different. We had mac and cheese balls, massive 1 each, lamb flat breads Fantastic and steak strips with temple cooked wedges with truffle and parmesan. I can not explain how delicious it all was. An absolute must, the ambience is perfect
