Encanto Cantina - Tulum

As we were sat the server asked of we had any allergens, then went and checked with the chef about what was safe. Almost everything was gluten free (only breaded fish, burgers and the brownie weren't! . I had 3 different tacos and ceviche, all incredible! A little pricey but the food more than makes up for it!

There based on the recommendations here on the app and was disappointed. The menu is not GF and there is a great risk of cross-contamination. The waiter explained that everything is grilled on the same grill as gluten-containing food. He didn't feel comfortable giving me something other than a green salad. We went to another restaurant where they were super courtesy. The server of Encanto Cantina took my celiac super seriously didn't want to serve me anything that would make me sick. He actually recommended the restaurant that we went to the end, I am very grateful that I didn't get sick!

Server was very soothing that they were little on their menu with gluten. Spoke English good and I have also provided a Spanish travel map. It was often said that the only things they have with gluten are flour tortillas, not cooked in the frit. Food was incredible, but unfortunately now symptomatic.

Delicious food! I grilled shrimp on a bed with sweet potatoes. Tortillas were corn and GF. Best Pico de gallo! Staff know about celiac disease, many options and no problems with food. The restaurant is located in a really sweet area, many outdoor seating. Would definitely go back.
