The Local Bison - Tulsa

The vegetarian menu at this restaurant is fantastic! Nearly every dish has a vegetarian or vegan option available. I visited from out of town for the weekend and seriously considered dining here every day.

I'm not used to going to a restaurant that caters to both omnivores and vegans, but I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options available. The menu featured vegan substitutes for all dishes containing meat or cheese (with the exception of eggs). We visited for Friday lunch and returned for Saturday brunch. Everyone in our group, including vegans, vegetarians, and non-vegetarians, thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

You can easily substitute all proteins, cheeses, aioli, eggs, etc with vegan options without compromising on toppings. If the app allowed it, I would give this place 5 stars. They have a fantastic selection of local beers and a wonderful atmosphere. I absolutely love it.

The Local Bison has so many choices for vegans! I went for lunch and was a little disappointed that some of their entrees are only available at dinner, but they have so many other options I found something else to try. I ordered a sandwich with artichoke croquettes, and I loved it! Sandwiches also come with a side of fries, so the portions are plentiful.

Honestly, this is the best not-fully-veg restaurant I've ever been able to find options at. I ordered the chupacabra burger vegan (with no pickled onions) and it was wonderful, all the substitutions tasted great. Staff were very considerate and explained the menu well, and the lavender lemonade was a nice way to cool down.
