Shawkat's Mediterranean - Tulsa

One of my favorite Greek restaurants in town! The food is delicious and the service is friendly!

The drinks were prepared incredibly quickly, and the aroma in the restaurant was wonderful. The pita bread was truly amazing. The person at the entrance was very friendly, and a big shoutout to all the chefs in the kitchen for their great work! Everything was excellent.

We visited on a busy Friday afternoon and ordered a variety of dishes: chicken shawarma, lamb shawarma, za'atar bread, a chicken kebab platter with rice, tabbouleh salad, hummus, and an extra side of labneh. The meal came with two slices of freshly baked pita bread. The lamb was tender, and the chicken kebab was cooked perfectly—juicy and well-seasoned, not dry like at some other places, and definitely not spicy. Overall, the food was delicious, and despite being a larger group, we were served relatively quickly. The only dish that disappointed us was the za'atar bread, which was hard instead of the soft texture we expected. I would rate this experience 5 out of 5. As for kid-friendliness, they provide high chairs and booster seats.

Best cabbage rolls ever, best chicken kabobs ever, best cheese manakish…and many other food items that I love. Hanaa, the owner, gives the best service. She is amazing…always gives 100% to her customers. My husband and I have eaten here for many years after moving from LA. I have to say that this gem of a restaurant is better than any Mediterranean restaurant we experienced in LA. Tulsa is very fortunate to have Shawkat’s.

Absolutely delicious shawarma wraps! My husband had beef and I had the falafel, both were amazing. As was the hummus. Will definitely be back!
