El Tequila - Tulsa

Horrible!!! I've been here several times and decided to stop going when some of the staff confided in family members of mine that the manager had forced them to do things against their will or else they'd be fired. My coworkers wanted to order out from there recently so we did. The man who took my order "cuco" was his name. Was very rude to me on the phone and sighed and said "ugh" several times when I was ordering. They got our food wrong and when I called to tell him he laughed at me. Then he said to come back and bring the food. I said we couldn't bc we were at work. He said to come in and ask for "cuco" and he'd take care of it. One of my coworkers went back and he didn't want to give her money back and said they would make her new food. It had already been several hours from lunch and she said she just wanted her money back. Her food was $12 and he literally threw $8 at her. Don't go here. The food isn't even special. All Mexican food in tulsa is virtually the same.

If you want real Mexican food, this is the place to go! Probably my favorite Mexican place in town. Used to live closer so I frequented it often, but it's definitely still worth the drive!

Some of the dislike posts are clearly unreliable (the queso was eatable..) The other disappointments I am honestly shocked by, I have been going to this place for years because of the excellent service and value. I have been to several different locations and always receive the most polite and attentive service. The food is delicious, and definitely a gem at the price point. Margaritas are strong and cheap. One of my favorite places in town, definitely worth a try.

Just right for lunch. This $5.99 lunch combo features a classic tex-mex tamale with your basic rice and beans. I live in Northern Arizona where you can only get red and green chile tamales which are really good but it's nice to have an old-school tex-mex one again.
