Blake's Lotaburger - Tucumcari

While we were waiting for our food, I noticed a guy and a girl coming back from a break, and he yelled at her, “You didn’t wash your hands, go wash them.” My husband ordered a cheeseburger but didn’t receive any cheese. While the food was hot, the burger patties were extremely dry. The seasoned fries were decent, but that was the only part of the meal we could actually eat. We decided to eat in our car because the restaurant was old and filthy—there’s no drive-thru either. I recommend looking for a better Blake's location or just going to McDonald’s instead.

The building is quite old and in poor condition. The burgers are mediocre, scoring around a 5 out of 10. I ordered a shake, but it ended up just being milk with some flavoring. The windows also look filthy, suggesting they haven't been cleaned in a long time.

The food was enjoyable. The ITSA burger had a nice kick thanks to the added green chili. We also sampled their shakes; however, the peach shake didn't compare well to the one from Chick-fil-A. I ordered online, and the service was average. When we arrived at the restaurant, the burger was already prepared and sitting under the counter. We had to wait for other customers to place their orders before our shakes could be made, so while the shakes were fresh, the burger had cooled down quite a bit.

Food was pretty good but restaurant was not clean. I suggest you get your burger to go and enjoy. None of the tables had been cleaned, which can happen after a lunch rush. But the windowsills haven't been cleaned in a while, several dead flies (at least they were dead I suppose) dirt. The booths attach to the unclean windowsills. The ladies restroom door does not lock so take a bathroom buddy to watch the door. I will say the restroom was cleaner than the restaurant. Had we gotten our food to go we probably would have enjoyed it.

The best burger I’ve had in a very long time. I ate it after an hour it was cooked and it was still warm. That’s says it’s quality beef. The ingredients are amazing chili peppers ?️ was the New Mexico touch. The season fries are like no other. I’ve been a fan of whataburger but what a great burger this was. Holy smokes!! You gotta try it!!
