Yamato Japanese - Tucson

I really can't add much that hasn’t already been said, except that we’re definitely going back. The sunomono was probably my favorite ever—wonderfully lemony. All the fish was fantastic; the tuna was the best I’ve had in a while, both in Arizona and California, and the hamachi was even better, which seems to be the trend lately. The negihama was nice too. My husband had ramen, and even though I'm not usually a fan of ramen, I tried the broth and thought it was excellent. The tempura was beautifully fried as well. Last but certainly not least, the rice was very good too.

This is my favorite sushi place in town—actually, in the world. Also, shout out to Alice. She’s an amazing server. I always feel welcome and well taken care of. The sushi options are plentiful! And they even serve the sweetest, most delicious fruit with their sushi. Thank you, Yomato Staff

Is a party of 4 and we didn't know that we have to do reservation at 5:30pm because is TUESDAY so we were told if we dining in, we have to eat within ONE HOUR because of the reservation. We did the 1 hour and didn't complain; we order, we wait for the food for 20mins to serve us, we ate in 30 mins and leave BUT facts is we were told to eat and leave in ONE HOUR... Food is good.

Chef Nobor is incredible. The food is exceptional and always beautifully presented. Alice, our server, is fantastic. Food: 5/5.

For our meal, we started with takoyaki and wagyu (a special menu item) and then had a curry katsu bowl and chirashi bowl for our main courses. We also ordered uni and maguro nigiri on the side. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The takoyaki was even better than at some restaurants in Tucson, and the wagyu was a delightful, buttery indulgence. The sushi was outstanding, and I was pleased that they offered uni. I did request toro, but unfortunately, they had run out for the day (we arrived at 12:30). Our server was attentive and friendly, checking on our table frequently and even offering a take-out cup for my leftover green tea. Overall, it's a fantastic place to enjoy high-quality sushi and Japanese cuisine.
