Contribuiți la feedbackI have had this place bookmarked for awhile and was in the area... and hungry so stopped by. With the pandemic, they are open for takeout. We were greeted and taken care of warmly by Martin himself. We ordered the chilaquiles and a 3 taco plate. He whipped up our order/packaged it up, and even though we had a hike back to Vail the food was super tasty and still warm when we got home. The salsas were awesome, I particularly liked the green. My hubby got the carneasada, chicken mole and one other taco that was recommended and he scarfed them down. He is a hard sell on any Mexican food establishment he has never tried and he loved his tacos. My chilaquiles were really good, and I loved the way theydid the beans. I was really impressed at how nicely everything was packaged up and in a bag that was sealed shut. Well done Martin, we will be back!
This is Tucson's hidden in the wide open gem. Across the street from SkyBar and down the street from overrated pretender Boca, Martin serves it up authentic and with no filter. The philosophy here is keep it simple and it works to perfection. There's no liquor license but you can BYOB provided you aren't loud or obnoxious. The Carne Asada tacos are otherworldly (no greasey, oily, creme lathered bs here, just the real thing . Wash it down with his Pineapple AguaFresca (delicious! and for dessert, try his ChocoFlan, a half flan, half chocolate torte that is indescribably decadent and delicious. Martin cooks it all and serves it up with a flair all his own. You won't eat tacos anywhere else inTucson again!
Amazing food, awesome staff owner, really unique interior decor. I?ve thought back to this burrito every day for a week. It was delicious and I can?t wait to go back and eat there again. If I could rate this place higher I would!
This is the best Mexican food I have ever eaten, hands down. I'd class these meals as a religious experience and I'm saying that after living in Texas for 18 years in my youth. The food is what your Mexican grandmother might fix in the casita no chimichangas! from fresh ingredients that never saw a freezer. Your mouth will sing. This is an incredible, slow food experience. It's prepared fresh to order in the kitchen by Martin and Scott, so be ready to savor thedinner conversation with your partner or friends, linger over that horchata and chips with the best beans you'll ever eat (mayacobas, from Martin's family farm , appreciate the art, relish the incredible flavor, and enjoy the humor andconversation with Martin and Scott. They will treat you like a person, ask how you're doing, and remember you. (Scott also shared great suggestions for hiking around the area. On the menu, my fella and I can personally recommend the tacospinches (chicken mole, beans cheese, veg , vegetable quesadilla, huevos rancheros and the choco flan. (The first meal we had there was so good, I insisted we come back for another. The horchata is vegan and delicious; the Jamaica istart sweet and perfect for a hot summer day. Go savor an evening over a meal at Martin's. You'll be glad you did.
So delicious! Martin is the friendliest most amazing host. Come and say hi and experience some delicious food! The chips and beans are amazing and I always love the mole.
