When driving from Tbilisi to Kutaisi you should stop for a mid-way break at the Sapurmarilo who serve local food grilled right in front of you, if you sit outside and watch the passing traffic. Do not forget you are out in the countryside in the middle of nowhere and so you need to adjust your expectations accordingly. And once you do, it will not fail to impress. We visited it twice on our travels and enjoyed both stops. Super-friendly and attentive staff wasted no time in supplying us with food and refreshments that were delicious. We tried several of the grilled meats and found the pork to be the best. The bread they serve with the food is FANTASTIC! The local bottled beer they serve is great. Nothing wrong here.
