Yu's Garden - Trussville

The food was incredible! My husband ordered the Mongolian beef, and I opted for the Mongolian chicken. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even during the pandemic, we were able to enjoy our meal in their parking lot, just like we did!

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was completely empty except for an employee who was sweeping. She asked if we had placed an order, and we informed her that we wanted to dine in. From that moment on, her attitude was quite unwelcoming. It was the most awkward and disappointing service I've ever experienced. My husband and I each ordered a lunch meal along with a side of lo mein and fried rice. While taking our order, she asked, "Do you want all of that to eat here, or would you like some to go?" I responded that we would eat what we could and take the rest with us. After putting in our order, she returned to the table and asked, "Are you sure you don't want that to go?" My husband and I exchanged glances and reiterated that we wanted to eat there. The food was actually quite good; everything was fresh and served hot. However, the service was simply unacceptable. I'd much prefer dining at the Mexican restaurant next door, where the food is great, and the service is exceptional.

This small restaurant offers wonderful fresh, high-quality food. While it may take some time to receive your meal, it's because everything is cooked to order. Each dish is generously portioned with a substantial amount of meat, whether you choose shrimp, chicken, pork, or other options. The staff is very accommodating to your preferences, such as serving sauces on the side or adjusting the meat-to-vegetable ratio. Overall, you'll find larger portions and friendly service here.

I was reluctant to write a review over one bad order, but three is crossing the line. Never get the complete order right (where is my steamed rice foos!! , the fried main courses are always soggy and just weird. not exactly sure how this place has so many good reviews.
