The fried rice only had two pieces of chicken and the lemon chicken dish was made with small pieces of deep-fried chicken in a sauce that did not taste like lemon. The dish also had undercooked vegetables. I ordered an extra egg roll with my combo and they gave me 5, but they had very little filling. I will not be returning.
Maybe this is “maritime” Chinese eating as the dame claims, but my wife and I found it almost impossible. she ordered garnelen. it had a few tiny bits of garnel, but was mostly noodles without a nice and had a strange taste. I have the sweet and sour chicken special. the eierrolle had a few unrecognizable inside. the 5 pieces of chicken were very strongly baked and soaked in sauce. the rice was overcooked and crisp. I have eaten Chinese foods all over the world, and that is the worst.
The dining experience at this restaurant is fantastic! The prices are reasonable. I absolutely loved the fried noodles. The owners are friendly and very professional. They have a fast lunch service, delicious specialties, and provide a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
I have looked for good Chinese food in the Truro area and have yet to find it. I ordered fried rice and sweet and sour boneless pork. The pork was edible but no onion, green pepper or pineapple in it just sauce over breaded pork. The rice was just bad and looked as if cooked in a dirty pan. They seemed busy so maybe other dishes are better but I will pass.
I had a combination plate as a test to see if the food was any good. A local had recommended it as her favorite place. My order was fried rice, sweet and sour boneless spare ribs and an egg roll. The rice tasted greasy and like it was cooked in a frying pan that had burnt leftovers in it. The spare ribs were battered like you expect on deep fried prawns and had a syrup poured over them like you would expect from a mall food court. The egg roll was the highlight as it was almost edible. I still have 2 restaurants in Truro to checkout but at this point I am sure I can say there is There is NO good Chinese Food in Truro. Take in consideration I am from the west coast and am used to decent food. I do recommend several of the Thai restaurants as I have tried most of them and they are all good.
