Contribuiți la feedbackAlthough the food at this Bar- Restaurante was good typically Spanish we feel that we were taken advantage of as tourists. We arrived for an evening meal and were handed 'la carta ' but when we asked, we found a set priced 3 course 'menu ' was available. This seem reasonably priced so we opted for this and were asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for red wine and were asked if we wanted local wine or something else like Rioja. We opted for the local wine, thinking that this would be the one included in the menu, but we were charged 19€ extra at the end, as this was not the menu wine. Yes, we should have checked.....The wine was good but this was not the price you expect to pay in an ordinary bar. Also we were charged extra for eating the menu in the evening and for eating on the 'terrace ' outside by the road! . This was infact, printed on the menu, but in very small print, and there was not enough light where we were sitting to see it. Although, technically, the staff did nothing illegal, we felt that we were taken advantage of. The price turned out to be much more than we expected. Not a good start to our holiday.
Loved this place could park nearby and felt part of a long established local scene. Waiters were friendly and efficient the menu del dia was excellent really good food, nicely presented. Really good atmosphere most of the people there were Spanish.
When you’re in Trujillo do yourself a favor and stop by Cafeteria Restaurante Sandra for drinks and tapas, a light snack, or a full meal. The restaurant is not far from Plaza Mayor. And it is worth the short walk. The food is cheaper, more plentiful, and just as good as what you’ll find on the plaza. I have been in Trujillo for two months teaching classes for a study abroad program. Happily, I discovered Sandra’s early on and since then it has been my “go to” place. I have never had a bad meal there and have enjoyed many very good ones. Particularly worth noting is how friendly the owners and staff are. They treat me just like one of the locals, even though I speak very little Spanish. If I am ever fortunate enough to be back in Trujillo I will be sure to visit Sandra’s. You won’t be disappointed if you do.
We discover this place by chance and we cannot be happier, the deal on the part is that the waiters are very good, the very rich food, we wonder or the day for just eur, which includes drink and dessert. I was pleasantly surprised by the tomato soup and the fig pie, very well
Great traditional restaurant with food, served in large quantity and good outlet! suitable prices, good service and very friendly terrace
