Full Belly Deli - Truckee

Delicious! The sandwiches are great, but the breakfast burritos are even better. I'm a big fan of the Spanish Gnar. It's a fantastic spot with a laid-back atmosphere and really tasty food. Whether you're looking to grab some sandwiches for your adventures or need a hearty breakfast burrito to fuel your day—or even better, both—this is the place to be!

Last week, I visited Full Belly Deli with a group of friends for lunch before heading to the lake. I had heard great things about this place, and when our friend from Truckee recommended it, I was eager to try it out. As I looked through the menu, I felt a bit overwhelmed by all the tempting options. To help me decide, I browsed photos on Yelp and Google. I finally chose the Dirka Dirka sandwich, which features corned beef, pastrami, house-made pickles, yellow mustard, Swiss cheese, and jalapeño slaw on a jalapeño cheddar roll. We ordered over the phone, and by the time we arrived, everything was ready for us. We found a nice shaded spot outside with several picnic tables. The sandwiches and cookies were delicious and fresh! I was so stuffed after only eating half of my sandwich that I was glad to save the other half for lunch the following day. I would definitely come back here!

A charming deli located in the delightful downtown Truckee! The service was incredibly fast, and the staff were very friendly. There was an overwhelming variety of breads, condiments, meats, and everything else you could want for your sandwich. We tried the Dirka Dirka, one of the most popular options, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. The coleslaw complemented the corned beef and pastrami perfectly. I also ordered some jalapeño mayo on the side, which was delicious. I love a warm, saucy sandwich! Additionally, I had the macaroni salad, which had a wonderful acidity and texture. I would definitely return! 5/5 rating.

This place is truly spectacular; calling it "hidden" doesn't even do it justice. The blend of delicious flavors and the classic, top-notch service make it a must-visit if you’re in the Truckee area.

It was a bit difficult to locate the restaurant due to a small sign visible from the road. The sandwiches were decent, and the food was served quickly.
