Casa Baeza - Truckee

The menu has all the things you want most. And one thing I think many would not expect. Every time I'm in Truckee, I'm sure I'm over here to eat. And I usually try to take a friend. The staff is really friendly and attentive. And the food is delicious. It is fucked along a side street, so can be difficult to find. But I promise it will be absolutely worth it!

It's just at dinner. I've been here before, and the service is pretty good, and I got my food to go, so I'll wait at the bar until it was finished. The waitress was pleasant and I got my food pretty fast. I ordered Nachos and a Burrito to go, and it was over $20. I was surprised how small the nachos are. They were delicious, but I expected more. The Burrito was also on the small side. That's a din in Mexican, so maybe they're not used to getting orders. I was disappointed at what I got because it was undersized, but it tasted good. So the question is, I'd go back. I'd look inside. The atmosphere is beautiful and the bar looked like she was hoping to go, but the order is nothing.

The staff was great and our server was phenomenal. However, the food was dirty and it was quite rough to see that they wait the salsa on the chips on the table in the open that someone sits. The salsa tasted like the marinara sauce and was room temp. The only tasteful thing on my plate was the beans. The food came 5-10 minutes after the order. Would only recommend if you wish a quick bite.

They called to see if they had pyrazole and they said they hadn't done it, then they called me back and said they did it so that I set an order for two small bowls and what I got was a small container of bone and juice? Seriously when I'm out of town and now I'm hungry? m stuck in the hotel eating $4.50 top wheels?.

My first time at Casa Baeza, my wife and I enjoyed the experience, song, dance, drink, and food. The chips and salsa was amazing, I added some habanero salsa to mine because why not? ? But let me back up a bit, the entrance and the mood set from outside to the walk in was quite thrilling, the artwork around the restaurant, the subtle details you may miss if you aren't paying attention, definitely a place when you make multiple visits you will find something new each time. The staff was friendly, professional, and a riot at times ? we enjoyed the drinks, shots and house margaritas. We ordered asada tacos, I took time to dress mine up with grilled jalapenos and added my salsa mix I created on the spot using the ingredients available, that's a pro tip I might share next time ? Every ingredient was perfect, I don't say this often. From the beginning to the end the experience was full of flavor and story. I can see why there is a vibe of love and passion in this place.
