Chez Alain - Trouville-sur-Mer

This is where I get jealous of fishermen.. they can eat like this every day! (Not jealous of the tremendously hard work , unsocial hours.. etc.. involved in catching such riches though...).. Chez Alain is great.. one of 6ish market stands selling the freshest catch of fish and seafood.. honestly.. there's nothing to add to the other brilliant reviews.. (thanks for the heads up on buying the bread to all.. ) we got butter and mayonnaise from Chez Alain and don't worry about preparation.. after you've chosen your delicious seafood... they prepare it and serve it to you on ice..The wine's more than acceptable too!Bottle of wine, Crab, Oysters and Prawns.. 65 euros! Brilliant!.. and thanks to Alex.. our lovely waiter!

Visited last week as part of my husband's 60th birthday celebration! Fabulous seafood, fabulous staff and a brilliant concept. We are still talking about it! Go for an early lunch, choose a table , sit and watch the world go by. If you like seafood , this ticks all the boxes. Thanks Alan and all staff.

If you love seafood - go here! Fresh seafood and lots of it. We dined 9 people and we only had seafood - no sides - and non of us were hungry when we had finished. Deliciously served on ice and just amazing!

Great concept at fish-market. Simply make your selection from fresh shellfish @ counter & it's duly served presented on ice. Really helpful, friendly staff to guide you. Wine available too & if you want bread just pop over to the local boulangerie. Fabulous! So fresh & delicious & fun way to watch the boats come in on a sunny day.

The place looks like a fish market, which it is, and has also seating area, normal table and bar table (advising you to be on the bar table.ADVISE, BRING YOUR BREAD AS THE PLACE IS NOT ALLOWED TO PROVIDE BREADthe sea food is just great and fresh, you will be the one choosing what will be in your platter (oyester, lobster, crab, shrimp, and more choose but dont know the name), and will go with a glass of white wine.perfect place for LUNCH. when you will leave a tips, every one will know, as they will swing the bell.
