Contribuiți la feedbackWe are here for a week in Tropea, and despite asking locals where to eat the authentic local cooking, I’ve discovered that it’s 100% tourist catering here. Apart from the famous Tropea red onions nothing else makes money for this town, and the result is the inevitable sad, worn out and cynical attempts to convince the tourist they are eating through local cuisine. Although the meal was OK, and we had traditional dishes, there was a lack of joy, interest or delight in anything. Horrible handmade scribbled signs in the toilets, and the extras for the day in really poor scribbled bits of paper at the front of the menu signposted this situation. The white wine was served without an ice bucket, although one was provided when requested. We sat at a table outside in the typical narrow street, with a view of the sea, and that was really good. But I think I will be writing a similar review for every single other restaurant (except one) in Tropea that we visit.
We stopped here for a bite of lunch while exploring the town. Beautiful food. Friendly service. Good price. My pasta was delicious
We tried 2 kinds of pastas , arrabiata and a Tropea style. Both were excellent. We have 2 Italian restaurants in Hungary but we can learn a lot from the local places.
Location molto carina e intima, e curata, servizio veloce e attenti !
