Sweetgrass Cafe - Trochu

Best place to eat in Trochu / Three Hills area. Absolutely love Susan's cooking & the atmosphere is fabulous. I love coming here & will always try & bring our house guests. Such a treat to have in our home town. Thank you Susan & the arboretum!!

Owner Suzanne has created a lovely turn of the century atmosphere, with lovely food freshly made with local ingredients, friendly staff, all set in spectacular arboretum and flower garden created and cared for since the early 1900s. Beautiful drive through rolling countryside of lush fields of grain and long valley views. Definitely worth the trip. We will return.

This was the first time @ Sweetgrass Cafe. It was delicious. Everything Suzanne makes is homemade and fresh. Will definitely go again. Giant Spinach Salad, Reuben with Squash & Red Pepper (I think that's what it was) soup, Vanilla milkshake and iced tea. There is also a little store in the back, and trinkets to purchase displayed throughout the Cafe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️And once you're done your meal, have a wander through the Arboretum.

I have been working in the area for a little over a month now but when I first got out here I realized I needed to find a good coffee place as there are no Starbucks or Tim's so I stumbled upon this cafe as a result of a google search for coffee. Since discovering Sweetgrass I try to visit at least once a week if not more. The specialty drinks are delicious and I'm slowly making my way through the list. I finally tried the food and I'm a little disappointed that I didn't try it sooner. Everything is so great about this place: the menu, the location, the gift shop and most importantly the staff. I should have left this review a month ago when I first discovered Sweetgrass!!

Located in the Arboretum at Trochu, the Sweetgrass Cafe is an excellent choice for lunch and soon for dinner as well. The food is very good, the service is great, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The selection of food is unique and very tasty. We highly recommend this Cafe and the atmosphere of the gardens as well.
