Chief Snoogie's Hickory Pit - Trinity

Have always loved the BBQ here. It's honestly the best around. That being said, we decided to order a combo meat loaded baked potato w/ pork chicken. We had also ordered 1½ lbs. pork BBQ family pack about noon. Ordered too much and saved the potato. That evening we tore into the tater. To our disappointment, even though the portion was generous, I expect fresh ingredients for a $12 potato. Imitation bacon bits? Really? They take this awesome dish and put imitation bacon? I expect this most anywhere else except a BBQ restaurant. I mean, I'll pay the extra $2 but give me REAL food. If you're gonna use imitation bacon, just go ahead and stick imitation sour cream and fake cheese. I'll be back for the BBQ but they can keep any fake food and put it to the road with the trash, where it belongs.

By far the best ribs anywhere around! My only complaint is I wish they stayed open later, at least to 8pm Thurs-Sat

Always great food and fast service! Hate that the sitting area isn't open but the drive through is fairly quick.

Mac and cheese wasn't yummy, tasted old and lil tangy and couldn't finish it. The sandwiches where huge and meat was good, the bun just couldn't handle it. Had to eat my sandwich with a fork. Nachos where great proportions but lil dry. Overall I won't be returning.

I was impressed! Food was pretty good and I will definitely stop again if I'm in the area.
