Peace Cove Inn - Trinity Canada

What a hidden gem. We stopped in here for coffee and some pastries. The owner is so friendly and is an incredible baker! We picked up a variety of baked goods to go for the two of us as we could not just decide on one. So far her butter tarts, muffin with partridge berries and molasses cookies are so delish!!! Also, good strong coffee! While we did not eat lunch looked like a great menu. Highly recommend a stop here.

We had the Trinity East Bahn Mi (moose meatloaf sandwich) and the Fo’ Schnitzel (breaded pork and cheese sandwich), on the house brioche with homemade sauces and home fries. These were fantastic sandwiches, with generous servings. The coffee was fine, the vanilla crème brûlée for desert was delicious, and the dark chocolate tahini cookie as a take away treat for later was a creative treat that left me wanting to come back for more. Friendly service, indoor or outdoor dining. Website says open Thurs Sun in season, but at time of review Thursdays we’re strictly for Bistro evening dinner, with a new off menu item each week at the chef’s discretion. Seating indoors or outdoors with a lovely view. Menu varies with season and local availability photos posted of menu are representative but not assumed to be consistent over time (no menu on website at time of writing).

Great food made with local products. We had the fish tacos, which was a kind of fusion version of fish chips tacos and the coconut curry cod. Both were excellent! For dessert, the crème brûler was also a nice treat. The place is small and intimate, but calm and inviting.

Cute little restaurant near the Trinity East entrance of Skerwink Trail. Pasta and shrimp cod cakes made for a delicious much-needed dinner after hiking on the trail!
